Mindfulness is more then than just relaxation

It is a skill for strengthening resilience to stress, increase self-reflection, attention and awareness. With mindfulness we practice to experience every moment consciously. To really be present.

You build on the strengths you already have to improve your own health and well-being.

In this course we get to know ourselves better and experience that we always have a choice. We practice an open, non-judgmental, mild attention to ourselves and to whatever may happen.

Woudn’t it be nice to have regular moments to get back to yourself, to have a time-out and to do something for your own well-being?

It is taught in an in-depth course which allows for ongoing support and weekly processes. We will practice getting out of our heads and back into the moment. At the same time, we train our attention in order to learn how to deal better with intruding thoughts and emotions.

Mindfulness is a skill that you can integrate into your daily life.


Offer

MBSR in the group

The MBSR mindfulness training is given in a group. You learn to practice mindfulness in form of awareness, meditation and movement exercises. Each session consists of the direct experience of mindfulness, background and integration in daily life.

A personal intake conversation is included and free.

Group training is not always an optimal option for everyone. Therefore, I also offer private MBSR or for couples. Here the timing is more flexible, and there are more opportunities for personal contact and deepening.

Try-out workshops

Not sure if mindfulness is for you? Then join the introduction workshop. We meet with people that are interested in taking the 8 week course. There will be an introduction to mindfulness and a short meditation practice. This also gives you a change to ask questions and meet me and potential other members of the upcoming course.

The trainer

My name is Mona Irrmischer, I'm a neuro-psychologist (Ph.D.) and have studied the effects of meditation on the brain at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I also followed a 4-year body-oriented therapy education and since 2014 teach mindfulness and stress reduction courses for groups and offer private sessions.

I moved to the Netherlands about 10 years ago and it’s been around that time that I got into contact with mindfulness. It has since been a beautiful journey and it has become a vital part of my personal life as well as my work. For me, an important element of mindfulness is regaining the connection between the body and the mind. Becoming aware of ourselves and getting out of our heads and back into the moment, back to life.
